Dr. Vikash Kumar Dubey
Prof. Vikash Kumar Dubey is Professor (HAG) at School of Biochemical Engineering, IIT (BHU), Varanasi and Currently Dean (Research & Development), IIT (BHU) Varanasi. Before joining IIT (BHU) Varanasi in May 2018, he was Professor (January 2014 to May 2018) at IIT Guwahati where he has also served as Assistant Professor/Associate Professor (September 2006 onward). He was postdoctoral fellow at Florida State University, USA (January 2004 to September 2006) before joining IIT Guwahati. He is currently Coordinator/Head, School of Biochemical Engineering (Feb. 2020 onward) and taking care of overall administration of the school. He was also Associate Dean (Academic Affairs), IIT-BHU (June 2019 - Feb 2022) and was looking after undergraduate academic affairs. He had several other administrative experiences at IIT Guwahati at various levels including Head, Chairman (Student Welfare Board), Faculty-in-Charge etc. He is also a member of various national level committees, expert committees, faculty selection committee etc. He has published over 169 articles in peer reviewed Journal(s) and over 85 conference presentations/proceedings/invited talks. He has seven awarded and licensed USA patents as well as three published Indian patents to his credit. He has also written several book chapters and one NPTEL online course (40 lectures). His scientific contributions are recognised by several awards including Best Teacher Award-2021 of IIT (BHU) Varanasi, fellowship/membership of national/international scientific societies/ academies, Editorship of several journals etc. He has guided twenty-one PhD students (21 awarded), twenty-four MTech students (24 awarded including final year IDD thesis), several postdoctoral fellows, project fellows, trainees etc.
